PMAI200 : AI Tools for Project Managers
This course explores how artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming modern project management practices. Students will examine how AI tools—such as generative AI, natural language processing (NLP), and predictive analytics—enhance core project management functions including planning, communication, decision-making, scheduling, and resource allocation. Emphasis is placed on understanding how AI integrates with traditional project management frameworks rather than replacing them, enabling more efficient, data-driven, and adaptive project execution.
Throughout the course, students will apply AI tools to real-world project scenarios, developing practical skills in generating project artifacts, automating communication, analyzing performance data, and optimizing project portfolios. The course also addresses the ethical, governance, and organizational implications of AI adoption, preparing students to lead responsibly in increasingly technology-driven environments. By the end of the course, students will be equipped to strategically leverage AI to enhance project outcomes while maintaining sound project management principles.
